Democrats celebrate 30 years - "There's plenty to be proud of"

The WA Division of the Australian Democrats celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Party at a Wine and Cheese evening hosted by Senator Andrew Murray on 1 August. It was a great turnout, with lots of sharing and fun. To purchase a unique booklet celebrating 30 years of keeping the bastards honest, click here.

Party informs Small Businesses
Party members have hit the streets in their local areas, raising the profile of the Party by letterboxing and also targetting Small Business with a letter informing them of the Party stance on IR. Letter in PDF.

“The Democrats have an instinctive bias for the smaller underdog, and we have always recognised the important social and economic role small business has in Australian society.” Senator Andrew Murray Spokesperson on Corporate Affairs. Download our Action Plan on Small Business

The Australian Democrats supported Sorry Day 2007.

The ‘Sea of Hands’ represents the names of Australians who have shown their support for native title and reconciliation.

Since our inception we have had a strong and proud record of advocating for fairer government policy and more informed public attitudes on Indigenous issues.
Our consistent record of action, not just talk, shows that we can be trusted and relied on to be the voice of common sense in the Senate, providing priority and reasoned passion to this crucial area.
